Short version: ForgeWall keeps everything on your own computer. It has no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no ads, and it never sends anything anywhere.
What the extension stores (locally, in your browser only)
- Your blocklist — the websites you choose to block.
- Your timer settings and state — focus/break lengths and whether a session is running.
- Counts — completed focus sessions and how many times a blocked site was blocked (a timestamp and the site name), used to show you your own statistics.
This data lives in the browser’s extension storage on your device. You can delete it any time with Clear history in the extension’s settings, or by removing the extension.
What the extension does NOT do
- It does not collect, upload or share any data, and it contains no network code.
- It does not read or store page contents, your browsing history, form data or passwords.
- It does not use analytics, trackers, advertising or third-party services.
- It does not load or run remote code.
Why it asks for access to all websites
To redirect a page you chose to block, and to move tabs already open on a blocked site, the extension needs permission to act on those sites. It uses this only to compare the address of a page you open against your own blocklist, entirely on your device.
Other permissions
- storage — to save the data listed above.
- declarativeNetRequest — to redirect blocked sites to the “Stay with it” page.
- alarms — to end a focus session on time and refresh the badge while the browser is idle.
This website
This is separate from the extension. The website you are reading (oded.thecodingarena.com) counts page views with a first-party, cookie-free counter: no IP addresses are stored, nothing is shared with third parties, and it honors Do Not Track. The extension itself collects nothing.
Children
The extension is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
